Every Great Song Starts With One Voice
Step Into The Circle

Singer Songwriter Competition at the Dothan Opera House

After an incredible debut in 2025, The Circle Sessions returns to the historic Dothan Opera House on July 25, 2026 for another unforgettable night of original music, storytelling, and live performance.

The Circle Sessions is a singer songwriter competition designed to showcase raw musical talent in one of the most unique listening environments in the region. Set inside the beautifully renovated Dothan Opera House, the event puts the focus exactly where it belongs—on the artist and the songs.

No full bands. No backing tracks. Just the performer, their instrument, and the music they wrote.

Artists from across the country are invited to apply for the opportunity to perform live in front of a passionate audience and a panel of judges. Only six performers will be selected to take the stage for the final competition.

Finalists will compete for a range of career advancing prizes including cash awards, professional opportunities, and performance opportunities at the Porter Park Amphitheater as part of the City of Dothan’s live event programming.

Who Can Apply

The Circle Sessions is open to singer songwriters performing original music.

• Solo artists or duos only
